Avatar-Rolling Start!

It's a slow start... But I'll pick up speed.
For the new group blog – Art Block Buster. "Bust your art block and stay active!"; that's the hope anyway.

Warm ups VI

A slightly longer warmup post today. Also, just an unrelated note to toss your way - things like tongues, popsicles and corndogs are intrinsically "clean". If distortions have arisen, the cause is you~.
As I mentioned during a former post, most of my warm-up body sketches are partials and so are boring to look at, and won't normally be posted. But y'know. I like this one.

Anti Tuesday Cheer Up Picture - Hawkman

Oh Hawkman, you've lived so long. Why not drop the serious and just have fun?
It ended up being a single drawing without thumbnail or revision. I also tried using a sharpie to ink.

Warm ups V

The vast majority of my warmup sketches are partials for the side-purpose of analyzing styles or forms - it helps to draw them isolated from the whole. I won't be posting any of those however, for one of two reasons. A) They aren't fun to look at, and B) many are done from drawings in others' styles, so posting is a nono.

Warm ups II

As you might imagine, sketches from facebook are predominantly of heads.
Random life-sketching headshots and sketches of random figures will also be interspersedly tossed in. There might be a porn actress or two at some point as well. I draw ALL the time. Haha.

Warm ups

Normally I draw lines in different directions followed by circles. Lately though, I've taken to hopping on facebook and drawing random people from the albums that pop up (at least now that timesink is good for something).

I throw down a couple quick sketches until my line placement starts feeling better, then off I go. It also has the secondary purpose of helping me learn what features to push and recede while retaining the likeness of people, which I admit not being very good at. And if you happen to be irritated, you can amuse yourself by drawing ugly versions.

Well... It's been a while

So, now that my nap is over, let's just move on, shall we? And never mention this void in time again.

Here, have a picture. First shot at inking a sketch using photoshop. Colour is hard.
